Travelers throughout Mexico are encountering significant disruptions as multiple roadways have been partially or fully closed due too a series of accidents and incidents reported Saturday, November 30. Teh federal Roads and Bridges and Related Services (Capufe) is actively working to manage the widespread disruptions and provide real-time updates to motorists. These closures span over a dozen states, impacting key transportation corridors and requiring drivers to exercise extreme caution or seek alternate routes.

Travelers in Mexico are facing disruptions on roadways across several states as of Saturday, November 30, due to a series of accidents and other incidents causing partial and full closures. The Federal Roads and Bridges and Related Services (Capufe) is actively monitoring and reporting these conditions, providing updates to the public.
Capufe, a decentralized public organization belonging to the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT), operates and maintains Mexico’s federal highways and bridges. The agency regularly shares information regarding road closures and disruptions on its social media channels.
The SICT is overseen by a board of administration headed by Secretary Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina. Capufe participates in projects related to the construction and operation of major transportation routes.
Multiple closures were reported throughout the day. In Guerrero, two separate accidents on the Zacapalco–Rancho Viejo highway at kilometer markers 006+800 and 005+400 have caused partial closures. Yucatán experienced a partial closure near kilometer 052+800 of the Mérida–Celestún highway, while Veracruz reported a partial closure due to an accident at kilometer 171+000 of the Poza Rica–Veracruz highway.
Further disruptions were reported in Morelos, Oaxaca, and Veracruz. A partial closure occurred near kilometer 107+300 on the Cuernavaca–Chilpancingo highway in Morelos. In Oaxaca, an incident at kilometer 152+000 of the Pinotepa Nacional–Salina Cruz highway led to a partial closure. Veracruz also reported a partial closure at kilometer 128+000 of the San Hipólito–Xalapa highway. Authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution and follow posted traffic directions.
Additional partial closures were reported in Veracruz, San Luis Potosí, and the State of Mexico due to accidents. In Veracruz, closures were reported near kilometer 099+500 of the Poza Rica–Veracruz highway and kilometer 020+300 of the Tuxpan–Tampico highway. San Luis Potosí experienced a partial closure at kilometer 023+500 of the San Luis Potosí–Matehuala highway, while the State of Mexico reported an incident at kilometer 010+000 of the Mexico–Pirámides highway. Drivers are advised to proceed with caution.
Traffic was temporarily restored on the Chamapa – Lechería highway, kilometer 15, in the direction of Lechería after an earlier incident was cleared.
Partial closures were also in effect on the Chamapa – Lechería highway, kilometer 15, in the direction of Lechería due to a vehicle collision with a central barrier, and on the Mexico – Cuernavaca highway, kilometer 70, in the direction of Cuernavaca, also due to a collision with a central barrier.
A complete closure was reported near kilometer 163+000 of the Huajuapan de León – Oaxaca highway in Oaxaca. The Guardia Nacional (National Guard) shared images of the closure on social media.
A partial closure was reported on the Cuernavaca – Acapulco highway, kilometer 199, in the direction of Acapulco, due to a collision involving tractor-trailers.
Circulation was intermittently halted on the Durango – Mazatlán highway, kilometer 163, due to damage to the El Carrizo bridge structure following an accident.
Partial closures were also reported in Nuevo León near kilometer 197+300 of the Cd. Victoria -Monterrey highway, in Tabasco near kilometer 152+600 of the Coatzacoalcos-Villahermosa highway, and in Durango near kilometer 275+500 of the Zacatecas – Durango highway.
Dense fog caused a partial closure near kilometer 087+500 of the Ent. la Tinaja – Cosoleacaque highway in Veracruz. A partial closure was also reported in the State of Mexico near kilometer 041+000 of the Mexico-Toluca highway due to an accident.
Partial closures were reported on the La Tinaja – Isla highway, kilometer 88, in the direction of La Tinaja due to accident cleanup, and on the Poza Rica-Veracruz highway near kilometer 239+610 in Veracruz. A partial closure was also reported on the Toluca-Palmillas highway near kilometer 132+000 in Querétaro.
