Ronald Koeman will be honored with his own tile in the PSV Walk of Fame. The Eindhoven club announced this through its official channels. The tile will be unveiled this Saturday before the home match against AZ. The current head coach of the Netherlands national team will be in attendance.
Koeman played for PSV between 1986, and 1989. The former defender has 130 appearances for the Eindhoven club to his name and won three consecutive league titles with the club. Koeman similarly won the cup twice at the Philips Stadion. He also secured the ultimate prize during his time at PSV by winning the European Cup, then known as the Champions League.
Koeman served as the club’s coach for over sixty matches between 2006 and 2007. He won the league title in his only full season. General Director Marcel Brands knows what role Koeman has played in the club’s history. “He put PSV on the map not once, but twice. As a player, he was decisive in our most successful European season ever. As a coach, he proved his worth once again. That deserves a permanent place in the Philips Stadion.”

EINDHOVEN, Netherlands – Former Netherlands international Ronald Koeman will be permanently recognized for his contributions to PSV Eindhoven with the unveiling of a commemorative tile in the club’s Walk of Fame this Saturday. The honor will be bestowed before PSV’s Eredivisie clash against AZ at the Philips Stadion, with Koeman himself expected to attend.
Koeman enjoyed a successful stint with PSV from 1986 to 1989, making 130 appearances and playing a pivotal role in securing three consecutive league titles. He also added two KNVB Cup victories to his trophy cabinet during his time in Eindhoven. Perhaps most notably, Koeman was part of the PSV squad that lifted the European Cup in 1988, marking a historic achievement for the club.
Koeman later returned to PSV as manager from 2006 to 2007, leading the team to another league title in his sole full season in charge. PSV General Director Marcel Brands emphasized Koeman’s lasting impact on the club. “He put PSV on the map not once, but twice,” Brands said. “As a player, he was decisive in our most successful European season ever. As a coach, he proved his worth once again. That deserves a permanent place in the Philips Stadion.”
The recognition comes as Koeman continues to lead the Netherlands national team, currently preparing for upcoming international fixtures. This honor celebrates a legendary figure whose impact resonates throughout PSV’s rich history.
