While Al Nassr maintains its lead in the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo finished second in league goal-scoring to Kylian Mbappe.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s remarkable streak of scoring a hat-trick each calendar year came to an end in 2025. The Al Nassr star had achieved the feat for 15 consecutive years before falling short this time around.

Ronaldo did manage to add to his goal tally for the year, finding the back of the net as Al Nassr drew 2-2 with Al Ettifaq in a Saudi Pro League match on Wednesday, December 31st.

The result halted Al Nassr’s impressive winning run in the Saudi Arabian league. Ronaldo and his teammates had previously secured 10 consecutive victories and currently sit atop the league table with 31 points. This draw, however, doesn’t diminish their strong position in the title race.

The match against Al Ettifaq also marked the end of a significant chapter in Ronaldo’s statistical dominance. He concluded 2025 without registering a single hat-trick for either club or country.

Prior to 2025, Ronaldo had consistently scored a hat-trick in a calendar year since 2010. The 40-year-old last achieved the triple back in May 2024, when Al Nassr routed Al Wehda 6-0.

Throughout his illustrious career, Ronaldo has amassed an impressive 66 hat-tricks, making him the active player with the most three-goal performances, surpassing Lionel Messi’s tally of 61.

Cristiano Ronaldo finished the 2025 calendar year with a total of 41 goals, scored in 46 appearances across all competitions.

Despite a prolific year, Ronaldo wasn’t the league’s top scorer in 2025. That honor went to Kylian Mbappe, who netted 66 goals in 67 matches.
