Rotterdam, Netherlands – Three traffic controllers were injured Saturday evening when a vehicle was deliberately driven into them following an argument, according to police reports. The incident, which occurred on the Gordelweg in Rotterdam-Noord, has led to the arrest of three individuals on suspicion of attempted manslaughter.

Authorities say the altercation began around 6:00 p.m. When a traffic controller confronted occupants of a car. The driver exited the vehicle, and a verbal dispute ensued. A passenger then moved behind the wheel and allegedly accelerated, striking one of the traffic controllers. The vehicle was then reversed, hitting two additional controllers, with one being dragged approximately 65 feet.

Two of the injured traffic controllers were transported to a hospital for treatment; the extent of their injuries remains unknown. The third controller received on-site medical attention for minor injuries. This incident underscores the potential for escalation during confrontations with motorists and the risks faced by traffic management personnel.

Police apprehended the three occupants of the vehicle shortly after the incident. They are currently being held and face charges of attempted manslaughter. Investigators are working to determine who was driving the car at the time of the incident and are seeking witnesses to come forward.

The case highlights the increasing concerns surrounding the safety of traffic enforcement officials and the consequences of road rage.
