Bisnis.com, JAKARTA — Nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar AS diperkirakan bergerak fluktuatif namun berpeluang ditutup menguat di kisaran Rp16.760–Rp16.800 pada perdagangan hari ini, Selasa (10/2/2026).
Berdasarkan data Bloomberg, rupiah closed higher on Monday, February 9, 2026, gaining 0.42% to reach Rp16.805 per U.S. Dollar. Simultaneously, the U.S. Dollar index experienced a decline of 0.19% to 97.44.
Ibrahim Assuaibi, Director at Traze Andalan Futures, explained that the rupiah’s performance against the dollar on Tuesday will be influenced by both domestic and international factors. Internationally, both the U.S. And Iran have indicated that nuclear talks will continue following positive discussions held last Friday.
Assuaibi assessed that this message helped to alleviate concerns about an imminent military conflict in the Middle East, particularly after Washington deployed several warships to the region earlier this year. The potential for conflict in the region often leads to increased risk premiums in the oil market.
However, despite former President Trump’s threats of military action against Iran, Assuaibi believes the likelihood of war in the Middle East is low. Market focus this week will also be on the release of key economic data from the world’s largest consumer of oil.
In the U.S., the January non-farm payroll data will be released this week, while the CPI index will be published on Friday. Meanwhile, China’s January CPI data will be released at the weekend, providing further insight into the import activity of the world’s largest oil importer, just before the country enters its New Year holiday.
Domestically, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa is predicting that 2026 tax revenues will exceed targets set in the state budget, despite relatively low growth in tax revenues last year. The latest Consumer Confidence Index (IKK) showed an increase of 3.5 points to 127 points in January 2026.
This IKK level is the highest in the last year, since January 2025. Considering these developments, Assuaibi projects that the rupiah exchange rate will fluctuate with a tendency to strengthen on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in the range of Rp16,760 to Rp16,800 per U.S. Dollar.
The rupiah’s potential strengthening comes as investors weigh geopolitical risks and anticipate key economic data releases that could influence monetary policy.

As of 1:13 PM WIB, the rupiah strengthened slightly by 0.02%, or 4 points, to reach Rp16,801 per U.S. Dollar.
At the same time, the dollar index also gained 0.07% to 96.88.

The rupiah opened higher, gaining 0.06%, or 10 points, to Rp16,795 per U.S. Dollar at 9:05 AM WIB.
Concurrently, the dollar index also increased by 0.08% to 97.57.
