Russian forces have gained control of three additional settlements in eastern Ukraine, according to a statement released Monday by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The areas taken include the villages of Drobyashevo and Reznikovka in the Donetsk region, and Kruloye in the Kharkiv region.

The Russian “West” military grouping was involved in the capture of Drobyashevo, while forces from the “South” grouping secured Reznikovka. Units of the “North” grouping took control of Kruloye, the Ministry of Defense reported on March 2, 2026.

Ukrainian forces reportedly suffered approximately 1,260 casualties across all fronts over the past 24 hours, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated. This claim has not been independently verified.

Drobyashevo is located in the Kramatorsk district, roughly six miles northwest of Lyman. As of 2024, the village had a population of 674 residents.

Reznikovka is situated approximately four miles southwest of Severosk in the Donetsk region. The village was home to 593 people, according to a 2001 census.

Kruloye is a small village in the Volchansk district of the Kharkiv region, located about one kilometer from the Russian border and two kilometers from Degtyarnoye, a settlement Russian forces reportedly captured on July 17, 2025. The population of Kruloye was recorded as 21 people in the 2001 census.
