Samsung Unveils Galaxy S26 Series with Enhanced AI Capabilities

Samsung Electronics announced the Galaxy S26 series on Wednesday, February 26, 2026, highlighting significant advancements in artificial intelligence. The new lineup – including the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra – is designed to streamline everyday tasks and offer a more intuitive user experience. This launch underscores the growing importance of on-device AI processing in modern smartphones.

According to a company release, the Galaxy S26 series builds upon Samsung’s previous AI integrations, offering “the most intuitive, proactive and adaptive Galaxy AI experiences yet.” The phones are engineered to handle complex tasks in the background, allowing users to focus on results.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces a first-of-its-kind built-in Privacy Display for mobile phones, reinforcing Samsung’s commitment to user privacy. The Ultra model also features a customized chipset and upgraded thermal management for faster and more powerful AI processing, all within a slimmer design.

All three models – the S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra – will share a unified design language and be available in Cobalt Violet, White, Black, and Sky Blue 23. Samsung.com will also offer exclusive color options: Pink Gold and Silver Shadow. Pre-orders begin on February 25, 2026.

Although the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus represent incremental updates compared to previous generations, according to a hands-on review, the S26 Ultra stands out with its advanced features. A spec comparison reveals the Ultra boasts a 200-megapixel wide camera and a 5x telephoto lens, along with options for up to 1TB of storage.

Notably, the starting price of the Galaxy S26 Ultra remains unchanged at $1,300, while the S26 starts at $900 and the S26 Plus at $1,100. The Galaxy S26 series was also announced alongside the new Galaxy Buds 4, as reported by Gamereactor.

The introduction of a “privacy screen” on the new mobile device, as detailed by Digi.no, further emphasizes Samsung’s focus on data security and user control.
