Samsung Reportedly Delays Galaxy S26 Launch to March 2025
Samsung is expected to unveil its next-generation Galaxy S26 series in March 2025, a delay of two months from its typical January announcement timeframe, according to recent reports.
The postponement is attributed to ongoing challenges in the development and design phases of the lineup. While development of the high-end Galaxy S26 Ultra is reportedly complete, the standard Galaxy S26 model is currently behind schedule. This shift could impact the competitive landscape as other manufacturers finalize their early-year flagship releases.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is anticipated to feature a 10-bit display and be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy SoC, while the Galaxy S26 will reportedly utilize the Exynos 2600 SoC. The upcoming series is expected to include the Galaxy S26 Pro, S26+, and S26 Ultra, with the company reportedly discontinuing plans for a Galaxy S26 Edge following underwhelming sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge. Samsung has not yet commented on the reported delay, and further details regarding the specific issues causing the postponement remain undisclosed.
