Sarah Ferguson has reportedly retreated to what’s considered the world’s most expensive wellness clinic amid ongoing fallout from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. The former Duchess of York is said to have spent around $14,580 per day for a multi-week stay at the Paracelsus Recovery Clinic in Zürich, according to the British tabloid Daily Mail.
The 66-year-old former Duchess of York reportedly left the United Kingdom as she and her ex-husband became increasingly entangled in the Epstein controversy. While Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been repeatedly photographed, including at the Sandringham estate, Ferguson hasn’t been seen publicly since December 12, 2025, when she attended the christening of her granddaughter, Athena.
The report states Ferguson traveled to Zürich shortly after Christmas and remained there until the end of January. The exclusive clinic on Lake Zürich offers various month-long recovery programs for ultra-wealthy clients, providing access to 15 medical experts, as well as a chauffeur and private chef. This wasn’t Ferguson’s first visit to the facility.
A friend of Ferguson’s in Switzerland told the Daily Mail that the former Duchess of York is “absolutely devastated” by emails recently released that reveal her close connection to convicted and deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“She doesn’t tell anyone where she is”
Following her stay at the clinic, Ferguson reportedly spent time in the French Alps and the United Arab Emirates. Sources say, “Sarah is sofa-surfing around the world, moving on every few days and deliberately not telling anyone where she is until she’s left the location. She’s afraid her whereabouts will be discovered and therefore moves frequently.” Ferguson is keen to avoid being photographed by paparazzi.
She has, however, continued to connect with her daughters: Ferguson reportedly traveled to Doha to be with Eugenie, who was attending the Art Basel art fair in Qatar. She then flew with her son-in-law, Edoardo Mapelli-Mozzi, to Florida, where he attended a design conference. Further locations followed as Ferguson continued her travels.
Ferguson is reportedly seeking a new PR team to plan her return to the United Kingdom. Royal expert Andrew Lownie, however, said, “Neither Sarah nor Andrew will ever be socially acceptable in Britain again, no matter what they try or where they go.” He likewise believes that Middle Eastern multimillionaires are already financially supporting Ferguson. Recent revelations from the Epstein files showed that Sarah Ferguson allegedly had her life financed by Jeffrey Epstein for several years.
