On Monday, February 5th, over 100 flights were cancelled at Schiphol due to the inclement conditions, according to reports.
This follows a significant wave of cancellations on Sunday, February 4th, when more than 400 flights were scrapped as a result of the winter weather. KLM, the Dutch flag carrier, also announced the cancellation of over 100 flights on Monday, compounding the travel chaos.
The disruptions aren’t limited to air travel. The Efteling theme park, often described as a “fairytale forest,” was forced to close due to snowfall, with some areas receiving as much as 30 centimeters of snow. A yellow weather code is currently in effect for several regions.
