Senegal defeated Morocco 1-0 in extra time on Sunday, claiming their second Africa Cup of Nations title at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, before a crowd of 66,526.

Baba Gaye scored the decisive goal in the 94th minute, securing the championship for Senegal, who previously lifted the trophy in 2022 in Cameroon. Morocco’s hopes of winning their second title – and first since 1976 – were dashed when Ibrahim Abdellah Diass missed a penalty in the 92nd minute of added time.
