Parintins, Brazil is seeing a meaningful boost to its healthcare infrastructure with the arrival of a new surgical C-arm imaging system at Padre Colombo Hospital. The advanced medical technology, secured through state funding, promises to enhance surgical precision and patient outcomes in the region. This delivery is part of a broader effort by state deputy sinésio Campos to improve public services, encompassing not only healthcare but also education, agriculture, and social programs throughout the Amazonas state.
A new surgical C-arm imaging system is now available at Padre Colombo Hospital, a key healthcare facility in Parintins, Brazil. The equipment was secured through a legislative allocation championed by state deputy Sinésio Campos, aiming to bolster the region’s healthcare infrastructure and improve patient care.
Surgical C-arms provide real-time X-ray imaging during procedures, proving particularly valuable in orthopedic, trauma, and vascular surgeries. This technology allows healthcare professionals to achieve greater precision, enhance safety, and expedite operations, ultimately reducing patient recovery times and hospital stays. Advancements in surgical imaging are continually improving outcomes for patients undergoing a wide range of procedures.
“This equipment greatly facilitates the work of medical teams, increases surgical safety, and directly improves care for the population,” said Sinésio Campos during the delivery ceremony on Friday, September 6. “We previously delivered a similar C-arm to FCECON in Manaus, and now Parintins also benefits from this technology, which makes all the difference in the lives of those needing hospital care.”
The allocation of resources extends beyond healthcare, as Sinésio Campos also facilitated the delivery of equipment to the History Laboratory at the State University of Amazonas (UEA). This investment will support the advancement of teaching, research, and academic development for students.
Further supporting the region’s agricultural sector, Sinésio Campos also visited Vila Amazônia to distribute agricultural lime to local farmers. This soil amendment helps correct acidity, improve crop yields, and reduce the need for slash-and-burn agricultural practices, promoting more sustainable farming methods.
During his visit to Vila Amazônia, Campos also toured the construction site of a new facility for Fazenda da Esperança, an organization dedicated to providing shelter and rehabilitation services for vulnerable individuals. The expanded facility will strengthen the institution’s social impact within the region.
