REPORTAGE – After a 48‑hour delay, SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule is set to launch Friday morning at 11:15 a.m. (5:15 a.m. Local time) from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
The countdown is underway. After a 48‑hour postponement, weather conditions have finally cleared for the launch of Sophie Adenot. Teams at NASA and SpaceX were forced to postpone the launch twice because high‑altitude winds could have interfered with the capsule’s parachute deployment in the event of an abort. With those concerns addressed, all systems are now green.
If everything proceeds as planned, the French astronaut and her three crewmates will depart Earth aboard SpaceX’s Crew Dragon on Friday, Feb. 13, at 11:15 a.m. (5:15 a.m. Local time) from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral Florida, USA.
