Some students in Norway are opting for early morning athletics over academics, finding a two-hour sports session a preferable start to the day than math class.

Aleksander Petterson, a student, expressed his preference, stating, “I’d rather start the day with two hours of sports than with math.” The sentiment comes as the students prepare for their final training day at lunchtime.

During the session, students playfully questioned whether flag football qualifies as a legitimate sport, receiving confirmation that it will indeed be an Olympic event in two years. This news adds another layer of excitement to their athletic pursuits, as the sport gains increasing recognition on the global stage.

While some may find the early training schedule challenging, the students appear to embrace the energetic start to their day. The focus on physical activity highlights a growing trend of prioritizing well-being alongside academic commitments.

Elsewhere in Norwegian soccer, FVN Fotball recently featured an interview with Start’s sports director, Mick Priest, discussing his upcoming departure and contract talks with Azar Karadas, as well as reflecting on a recent 4-0 loss to Viking in Stavanger.
