Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio showcased a new trailer for its upcoming action RPG, Stranger Than Heaven, during the Xbox Partner Preview event, confirming the game will feature multiple cities and span several distinct time periods.

The game will unfold across 1915, 1929, 1943, 1951, and 1965, offering players a unique journey through different eras. This ambitious scope reflects Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s commitment to delivering immersive and detailed gaming experiences.

Whereas specific details regarding the game’s narrative remain limited, Masayoshi Yokoyama, RGG Studio representative and executive producer, provided additional insight in a blog post on Xbox Wire.

“We can’t say much more [about it] than what was shown today. But as you can imagine, 5 cities and 5 eras is a massive undertaking. We are putting an enormous amount of operate into bringing these times and places to life that we feel are rarely explored in games. It truly is a unique experience you can’t get anywhere else.”

RGG Studio will host a dedicated broadcast for Stranger Than Heaven on May 7th. The event, titled Xbox Presents: A Special Look at Stranger Than Heaven, is scheduled to begin at 00:00 BST / 1:00 CET on May 7th, making it easily accessible for European audiences.

The new trailer can be viewed here. A firm release date for the game was not announced, though the studio indicated it is coming “soon.”
