Frida Karlsson and Ebba Andersson added to Sweden’s medal haul at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, bringing their total to seven gold and eight medals overall.

Here’s a complete look at Sweden’s success so far:

Gold

+ Frida Karlsson, cross-country skiing, skiathlon.

Karlsson secured Sweden’s first gold medal of the Games shortly after the opening ceremony, dominating the skiathlon. The 26-year-old pulled away from the competition one by one, finishing strong and celebrating with a Swedish flag.

+ Linn Svahn, cross-country skiing, sprint.

After overcoming setbacks including shoulder surgery and a concussion, Svahn finally reached the top of the podium in a major championship. The 26-year-old showcased her strength throughout the day, culminating in a historic Swedish sweep of the sprint event.

+ Isabella and Rasmus Wranå, curling, mixed doubles.

The Wranå siblings navigated a challenging group stage to reach the medal rounds, ultimately securing gold with a clutch performance in the final. Isabella Wranå delivered the decisive shot to claim the championship.

+ Frida Karlsson, cross-country skiing, 10 km freestyle.

Karlsson is quickly establishing herself as a star of the Games, adding another dominant victory in the 10km freestyle. She built a substantial lead throughout the race, winning by a commanding 46.6 seconds.

Silver

+ Ebba Andersson, cross-country skiing, skiathlon.

Andersson kept pace with Karlsson for much of the skiathlon, ultimately earning her first individual Olympic medal. Both Swedish skiers celebrated a historic one-two finish.

+ Jonna Sundling, cross-country skiing, sprint.

Sundling, a four-time consecutive sprint champion, was narrowly beaten this time around. However, the silver medal provided a boost after a disappointing skiathlon earlier in the Games.

+ Ebba Andersson, cross-country skiing, 10 km freestyle.

While Karlsson proved unbeatable, Andersson continued her strong form, securing another silver medal. She finished just over three seconds ahead of American Jessie Diggins in a tight race for second place.

Bronze

+ Maja Dahlqvist, cross-country skiing, sprint.

Dahlqvist added to Sweden’s sprint success, claiming bronze after securing two silver and one bronze medal at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. The 31-year-old surged through the final, completing a remarkable podium sweep for the Swedish team.
