Taiwanese badminton players are celebrating a remarkable showing at the All England 2026 tournament, securing two spots in the finals.
The success comes in both the men’s singles and mixed doubles categories. Lin Chun Yi advanced to the championship match in men’s singles, even as Ye Hong Wei and Nicole Gonzales Chan will compete for the title in mixed doubles.
Lin Chun Yi earned his place in the final after a hard-fought victory over second-seeded Kunlavut Vitidsarn. The final score was 21-14, 18-21, 21-16.

Ye Hong Wei and Nicole Gonzales Chan also battled their way into the final, defeating seventh-seeded Hong Kong duo Tang Chun Man and Tse Ying Suet. The match went the distance, with a final score of 16-21, 21-15, 21-13.
In the finals, Lin Chun Yi will face off against Lakshya Sen of India. Meanwhile, Ye Hong Wei and Nicole Gonzales Chan will accept on the fifth-seeded French pair, Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue.
Taiwan has steadily emerged as a badminton powerhouse over the last two decades, challenging established nations like Indonesia, China, Denmark, Japan and Malaysia. Their players have consistently risen to prominence on the world stage.
Tai Tzu Ying previously claimed three All England titles, and Lee Yang and Wang Chi Lin secured Olympic gold in men’s doubles in the last two Games.
Veteran Chou Tien Chen continues to be a formidable competitor, maintaining a consistent presence among the world’s top ten players.
