Tecno has unveiled the Pova Curve 2, bringing a number of significant improvements over its predecessor. As the name suggests, the smartphone features a curved display, a refreshed design and claims to be the thinnest in its class although still packing a large 8,000 mAh battery. The launch underscores a trend toward larger batteries and more ergonomic designs in the competitive smartphone market.

Key Features and Specifications of the Pova Curve 2

The Pova Curve 2 boasts a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a high refresh rate of up to 144Hz. This combination promises an immersive viewing experience for both gaming and multimedia consumption.

The panel also supports a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, ensuring comfortable usability even in direct sunlight. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while the body carries an IP64 certification for dust and splash resistance, as well as SGS-certified drop protection.

For photography, the device features a dual-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera. A 13MP front-facing camera is housed in a punch-hole design.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. A key draw of the Pova Curve 2 is its 8,000 mAh battery, which is notably large for its class.

Despite the large battery capacity, the device maintains a slim profile with a body thickness of just 7.42 mm and a weight of 195 grams. It also supports 45W fast charging.
