Vancouver Canucks forward Teodors Bļugers is expected to rejoin the team on their upcoming road trip beginning November 26th, head coach Adams Foote revealed. The potential return of Bļugers provides a boost to the Canucks’ forward depth as they navigate a competitive Western Conference.

Bļugers has missed the last 16 consecutive games due to a lower-body injury, having last played on October 19th. He also sat out the first four games of the season with a separate injury. While there was initial optimism for a return in late October, his rehabilitation has taken longer than anticipated.

The Latvian forward participated in a non-contact practice on Thursday. Following the session, Foote expressed hope that Bļugers will soon be able to join full team practices and potentially accompany the Canucks on their next road trip. “He still needs to improve his conditioning,” the coach emphasized.

The 31-year-old Latvian has appeared in two NHL games this season, scoring one goal. Vancouver currently holds a 13th-place record in the Western Conference with 20 points through 22 games and will face the Calgary Flames at home on the night of November 24th.
