Players from the Indonesian national team have arrived at the team hotel ahead of their first match against Saint Kitts and Nevis in the 2026 FIFA Series.

Images of the players’ arrival were posted on the official Instagram account of the Indonesian national team on Monday, March 23, 2026.

The video showed several players who are part of the final 24-man squad arriving at the Fairmont Hotel in Jakarta.

The players were warmly greeted by head coach John Herdman and members of the coaching staff.

Saint Kitts and Nevis have already announced their squad for the upcoming match against Indonesia, which includes a player currently with Liverpool.

Herdman was seen welcoming the players and engaging in brief conversations as they arrived at the hotel.

The Indonesian national team will now prepare for their opening match in the FIFA Series 2026 against Saint Kitts and Nevis on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Senayan, Jakarta.

Elkan Baggott Draws Attention

Among the arriving players, Elkan Baggott’s presence has generated significant interest.

The Ipswich Town defender returns to the Indonesian national team after a two-year absence, last representing the Garuda at the 2023 Asian Cup.

Baggott was greeted by coaching staff and fellow national team players upon his arrival.

Also arriving were several players from the Super League, including Eliano Reijnders, Beckham Putra, Rizky Ridho, Nadeo Argawinata, Cahya Supriadi, and Ivar Jenner.

Analysts have noted that John Herdman faces a tight schedule as he prepares the team for the FIFA Series.

Previously, the Chairman of the National Team (BTN), Sumardji, stated that Indonesian national team players were scheduled to arrive in Jakarta in stages leading up to the 2026 FIFA Series.

He explained that the Garuda squad would commence assembling on March 24, 2026, three days before the tournament’s opening match.

According to Sumardji, players from the Indonesian Super League would arrive first, followed by overseas-based players.

“The local players will arrive on March 22nd. The diaspora players will arrive from March 23rd-24th. The entire squad will be together by March 24th,” Sumardji said on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

Persija Jakarta contributed the most players to the Indonesian squad for the FIFA Series 2026.

John Herdman Cuts 17 Players

John Herdman initially called up 41 players to the preliminary Indonesian national team squad before trimming it down to 24 for the FIFA Series 2026.
