Southern California Braces for Halloween Entertainment Blitz

Southern California venues are rolling out a diverse array of Halloween-themed events, from classic film screenings to immersive horror experiences, offering residents and tourists a wide range of spooky entertainment options throughout October and into November.

Santa Clarita will host two screenings of the 50th anniversary of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” on October 24 and 25 at The Centre, 20880 Centre Point Parkway. The event, featuring a shadow cast performance by the 661 Arts and Entertainment Project, encourages audience participation with prop kits and themed drinks; tickets are $18 in advance and $25 at the door. This interactive film experience has cultivated a dedicated fanbase for decades, and continues to draw crowds eager to participate in the unique tradition.

Elsewhere, Cinespia will screen “A Nightmare on Elm Street” on October 25 and host a Halloween night party with a screening of “Scream” on October 31 at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. The Hollywood Bowl will present “The Nightmare Before Christmas in Concert” on October 25 and 26, featuring a live performance by Danny Elfman and Janelle Monáe. For those seeking a more theatrical experience, “Delusion: Harrowing of Hell” is running through November 9 at the Variety Arts Theater, offering an immersive, choose-your-own-path horror adventure; tickets start at $113. More information on immersive experiences can be found at Time Out Los Angeles.

Additional events include a Halloween edition of “Last Remaining Seats” at the Million Dollar Theater, showcasing “Young Frankenstein” and “Carrie” on October 25, and a “Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics” candlelight concert series beginning October 30. The popularity of these events underscores the growing demand for unique and engaging Halloween experiences, boosting local tourism and entertainment revenue. Details on the Los Angeles Conservancy’s events can be found on their official website.

Organizers anticipate high attendance at many of these events and encourage attendees to purchase tickets in advance where possible.
