Guangdong’s premier amateur football league has secured a major boost ahead of its 2026 season, with Guangzhou-based new energy vehicle brand GAC Aion’s premium sub-brand, Haopu Aion, officially becoming the strategic partner of the Guangdong Provincial Cities Football Super League, commonly known as the Guangdong Super League or Yue Chao.
The partnership was formalized on April 21, 2026, at the Guangdong Guesthouse, where officials from the Guangdong Provincial Sports Bureau, the Guangdong Football Association, and the Guangdong Provincial Sports Development Total Company joined league representatives and Haopu Aion executives to sign the agreement. The ceremony featured the exchange of commemorative gifts, marking the official launch of the collaboration.
As part of the deal, Haopu Aion will provide comprehensive support to all 21 participating teams throughout the 2026 season, covering logistical, operational, and promotional needs. The brand has committed to awarding the league champion with a premium vehicle as a special recognition of their achievement on the pitch.
The alliance reflects a shared vision between the league and the automaker, both emphasizing boldness, innovation, and relentless progress. The Yue Chao’s motto—“Dare to fight, dare to strive, Guangdong battles bravely”—resonates closely with Haopu Aion’s brand ethos of “breaking boundaries, daring to lead.”
Football enjoys deep roots across Guangdong, serving as a powerful cultural touchstone for local communities. Through this partnership, Haopu Aion aims to integrate its technological strengths—including its proprietary sandwich battery architecture, Quark electric drive system, and advanced intelligent driving features—into the league’s operations, enhancing the fan experience whereas promoting sustainable mobility.
Looking ahead, the two parties plan to explore innovative “football + technology + culture-tourism” initiatives, leveraging the league’s popularity to drive regional development and foster deeper integration between sports, technology, and local tourism industries.
