On April 24, 2026 (Japan time April 25), Toronto Blue Jays infielder Kazuma Okamoto hit a solo home run in the second inning against the Cleveland Guardians at Rogers Centre, marking his fourth home run of the season and his first in four games.
The blast came off a 97.4 mph fastball from Guardians starter Tanner Williams, with Okamoto driving the ball to center field for a measured distance of 430 feet (approximately 131 meters) and an exit velocity of 109.9 mph (approximately 176.9 km/h).
According to the team’s official report, this represented Okamoto’s longest home run distance in Major League Baseball to date, clearing the batter’s eye in center field and reaching the upper deck of the batter’s eye area.
Okamoto, who had opened the season with back-to-back home runs on March 29-30, had gone hitless in his previous 15 games before breaking the slump with a home run on April 19 against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The home run was met with enthusiastic reception from the home crowd at Rogers Centre, celebrating the powerful contribution to the team’s offensive effort.
