The highly anticipated remake of the original *Tomb raider*, titled *tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis*, is facing criticism ahead of its release due to a lack of Polish language support. Despite previous installments in the franchise-including a recent mobile title-being fully localized for Polish players, the upcoming title currently lists no such support on its Steam page [[1]]. This omission has prompted a unified response from prominent Polish gaming media and a rapidly growing fan petition, demanding Amazon Game Studios reconsider its decision.
Fans of the Tomb Raider series were buzzing after The Game Awards 2025 showcased announcements for a new installment in Lara Croft’s adventures, as well as a remake of the iconic original game. The upcoming title, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, has sparked mixed reactions, particularly among Polish gamers, due to the lack of a localized version.
The game’s Steam page currently does not list Polish language support. After more than 72 hours without a response to an inquiry sent to Amazon Game Studios, the developer of the game, a coalition of Polish gaming media outlets – including GameOnly.pl, CD-Action.pl, LaraCroft.pl, Konsolowe.info, Eurogamer.pl, Pograne.eu, NaEkranie.pl, Gram.pl, and Grajpopolsku.pl – issued an open letter to the company.
Developers of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis have remained silent regarding the inclusion of Polish language options, and the Steam page indicates that even subtitles won’t be available in Polish. The publicly released open letter – in English – from the united Polish gaming media asks Amazon Game Studios to reconsider adding a Polish localization to the remake. The campaign is being promoted with the hashtag #bedegrauwgre.

We enjoyed the older titles, and we also loved the newer ones, with thousands of us having a great time with the remasters of parts I–VI while waiting for the next adventure of Lara Croft. Finally, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a remake of the original, was announced, and we welcomed it with open arms.”
“All games in the Tomb Raider series since 2003 are available in Polish, even Tomb Raider Reloaded, a mobile game for Android and iOS, is available in Polish.”
“For this reason, we do not understand Amazon Game Studios’ decision not to support Polish language in Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. […] we ask Amazon Game Studios to reconsider the available languages in the game and add Polish to them.”
A response from the publisher of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is anticipated, and updates will be provided as they become available. (Tomasz Gop of Flying Wild Hog previously commented on the issue of Polish language support, but did not offer specifics.)
Additionally, a petition started by a fan of the series, urging Amazon Games to add Polish language support to the remake, has already garnered nearly 10,000 signatures.
