Flekkefjord Musician Set to Rock Tons of Rock Festival
Martin Skage Møhlen Bakken from Flekkefjord is gearing up to perform at Tons of Rock, Norway’s largest rock festival, according to Avisen Agder. The musician will be taking the stage with his band, “You Grasp Who.”
The lineup for Tons of Rock 2026 is now complete, featuring a diverse range of artists spanning rock and metal history, as reported by Musikknyheter.no. This year’s festival, held on Ekeberg, aims to blend nostalgia, contemporary sounds, and emerging talent.
Among the newly announced additions is W.A.S.P., known for their influential 80s heavy metal, who will share the stage with Iron Maiden – a full four decades after being banned from performing with the band in Drammen.
“Tons of Rock 2026 is not just about individual artists, but about the whole,” said Jarle Kvåle, leader of Tons of Rock. “The Tons universe is the festival experience where nostalgia, the present and the future stand side by side on Ekeberg.”
Behemoth and Rival Sons are also among the artists set to perform. The festival has already sold out its 4-day VIP passes and is experiencing high demand for remaining tickets, according to the official Tons of Rock website. The announcement of the complete lineup underscores the festival’s growing reputation as a premier destination for rock and metal fans.
Recent reports from agderposten.no, gat.no, and fvn.no confirm that rumors of Bakken’s participation have been circulating for some time, with the artist himself calling it “a dream for many years.”
