A contract dispute is brewing for the winner of Poland’s “Top Model” season 14, Michał Kot, just weeks after his victory. Kot, already a signed model with X Management since 2023, reportedly sought to participate in the competition despite the agency’s reservations, and has now terminated his agreement with them following his win and signing with Selective Management Fakt. X Management is now preparing legal action, alleging a breach of contract.
Michał Kot has been crowned the winner of the 14th season of “Top Model.” Prior to competing on the show, Kot had a contract with X Management, beginning in 2023. As part of his win, he’s now signed with Selective Management.
“Michał reached out to us for feedback on his participation in the program two days before the castings.”
“We didn’t recommend he participate, as he’s been working as a model for a long time, is an experienced model with an extensive portfolio, and we felt entering a competition for beginners was questionable,” representatives of X Management told Fakt. According to their account, Kot argued he “wanted something new from the industry” when he decided to join the show.

The agency states that in mid-June, Kot proposed suspending their collaboration with the intention of resuming it after the show concluded. He later decided to terminate the partnership with X Management entirely.
“We were in talks about how to resolve the situation, but on June 16, 2025, we received a statement from Michał terminating our agreement with immediate effect, without providing any justification. Of course, he had no basis for doing so,” the agency said.
“After this event, Michał stopped accepting assignments that X Management secured for him, so our legal department is currently taking appropriate action and preparing formal steps.”
“We emphasize that the contract is valid and that, in accordance with it, X Management is the exclusive entity representing Michał Kot, and any violations of this agreement are well protected, and we will pursue claims,” the representatives added. The reality competition scene continues to be a launchpad for modeling careers, but also a source of contract disputes.
Fakt also contacted Justyna Lenart, the lawyer representing Michał Kot. Kot has not yet had the opportunity to review the statement and plans to respond to the agency’s communication soon.
