Former President Donald Trump is threatening legal action against comedian Trevor Noah following a joke made during the 66th Annual Grammy awards ceremony on Monday evening France Press. The dispute stems from Noah’s reference to Trump and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which Trump vehemently denies as “UNTRUE!!!” in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social. The exchange underscores the continued legal and public relations challenges facing the former president, and the often-contentious relationship between him and figures in the entertainment industry.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened legal action against comedian Trevor Noah, host of the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, following a joke made during the ceremony regarding Trump’s immigration policies and a connection to the Jeffrey Epstein case, according to a report from France Press.

Noah “falsely stated that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein’s island. UNTRUE!!!,” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social, immediately after the ceremony concluded in Los Angeles.

“I cannot speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein’s island, nor even anywhere close, and until this false and defamatory statement tonight, I have never been accused of being there, even by the media, which is so full of false statements,” Trump continued.

“Noah, a complete loser, better get his facts straight and fast. It looks like I will be sending lawyers to sue this pathetic, sad, untalented, and totally dumb host and demanding a lot of money,” Trump threatened.

“Get ready, Noah, I will be having fun with you!” Trump added.

The exchange began after Noah referenced Trump and Epstein following Billie Eilish’s win in the Song of the Year category, as reported by AFP. “Here it is, Song of the Year! Congratulations, Billie Eilish. Wow. This is a Grammy that every artist wants – almost as much as Trump wants Greenland. Which makes sense, because after Epstein went away, he needed a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton,” Noah said.

The threat of legal action comes as Trump continues to maintain a high public profile while facing multiple legal challenges. The incident highlights the ongoing tensions between the former president and media figures who have been critical of his policies and conduct.
