President Donald Trump reaffirmed his commitment to continuing negotiations with Iran on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has advocated for a firmer U.S. Stance toward Tehran. The meeting comes as international concerns remain high regarding Iran’s nuclear ambitions and regional influence.

The U.S. Administration resumed talks with Iran regarding its nuclear program last week in Oman, but continues to maintain a military threat against the Islamic Republic should a deal not be reached. The development underscores ongoing tensions in the Middle East and the complex diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation.

“No definitive decisions have been made, except that I insisted that the negotiations with Iran will continue to see if an agreement is possible or not,” Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform. “As long as there’s a possibility (to negotiate), I indicated to the Prime Minister that that will be my preference,” he added.

Netanyahu, on his sixth visit to the United States since the start of the Republican leader’s second term, is pressing for the negotiations to also include limits on Iran’s ballistic missile program, not solely the nuclear issue. He reiterated Israel’s security needs within the context of the Washington-Tehran negotiations, according to a statement from the Israeli government.

The Israeli Prime Minister said Tuesday before departing Israel, “I will present to the president our outlook regarding the principles of these negotiations — the essential principles which, in my opinion, are important not only to Israel, but to everyone around the world who wants peace and security in the Middle East.”
