Встреча Зеленского и Трампа во Флориде 28 декабря 2025 года

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy says a direct flight by Donald Trump to Ukraine could signal a path toward peace.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated Tuesday, December 30, that a visit from former U.S. President Donald Trump would be beneficial, particularly if Trump were to fly directly to Ukraine. This comes as Trump has signaled openness to traveling to Ukraine and addressing the country’s parliament.

Zelenskyy was responding to indications from Trump that he would be willing to come to Ukraine to advocate for a plan to end the war. “I think it would be useful – if President Trump is able to come,” Zelenskyy said. “He is talking about advocating a plan for ending the war. I told him that we would be happy to see him.”

The Ukrainian leader added that it would be “desirable” for Trump to fly directly to Ukraine rather than stopping in Poland first. This preference underscores the symbolic importance Zelenskyy places on a direct show of support from the former U.S. president.
