Sheikh Hamdan encouraged citizens to participate in a nationwide broadcast saturday at 11:00 a.m. local time, featuring the national anthem and a collective pledge to the UAE’s continued advancement.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, reaffirmed the importance of national unity and resilience on Thursday, calling for citizens to reflect on the values that bind the United Arab Emirates together.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Sheikh Hamdan stated that January 17th serves as an annual reminder of the determination, cohesion, and mutual support among the Emirati people. He emphasized their unwavering allegiance to the nation and its continued progress.
“On January 17th of every year, we remember the resolve, solidarity, cohesion, and mutual support of the people of the Emirates, who proudly stand behind the flag of their country to preserve the gains of the homeland and its elevation among nations,” Sheikh Hamdan wrote.
Sheikh Hamdan also encouraged Emirati citizens and their families to tune into national media channels at 11:00 a.m. Saturday to participate in a collective renewal of their commitment to the UAE’s advancement and prosperity. The broadcast will feature the nation’s anthem.
