Millions of Ukrainians continue to face a deepening humanitarian crisis as the conflict enters its third year, prompting renewed calls for international aid. The Glückskette foundation is currently collecting donations to support those affected by the ongoing war, with a particular focus on vulnerable populations including children, women, and the elderly.

Many have been forced to flee their homes, seeking refuge in neighboring countries or safer regions within Ukraine. Glückskette is providing assistance through partner organizations operating within Ukraine, as well as in Poland, Romania, Moldova, Hungary, and Switzerland. The foundation has already financed nearly 90 humanitarian projects since the start of the war.

According to reports, more than 14.6 million people in Ukraine currently require humanitarian assistance, and the destruction of critical infrastructure is exacerbating the situation. The Glückskette has deployed over 50 million Swiss francs to aid efforts so far.

The organization has already allocated 80% of the CHF 137.3 million in donations received since 2022, making it the second-largest fundraising campaign in the foundation’s history. Yet, with international funding for humanitarian aid declining, Glückskette is renewing its appeal for solidarity.

Donations can be made at www.glueckskette.ch or to postal account 10-15000-6, with the reference “Krise in der Ukraine.”
