Ukrainian forces successfully intercepted a significant wave of Russian aerial attacks overnight, neutralizing 438 drones and 14 missiles, according to reports. The sustained assault highlights the ongoing intensity of the conflict and Kyiv’s continued efforts to defend its airspace.

Russia launched the attack utilizing four hypersonic H-47M2 “Kinžal” missiles, seven “Iskander-K” cruise missiles, eight “Kalibr” missiles, and three “Iskander-M” ballistic missiles, officials confirmed. The diverse range of weaponry employed underscores Russia’s multi-faceted approach to its aerial campaign.

Of the 464 drones deployed, approximately 260 were identified as Shahed-type attack drones. This represents a substantial portion of the aerial assault, indicating a continued reliance on this type of unmanned aerial vehicle.

Ukraine was able to neutralize one H-47M2 “Kinžal”, five “Iskander-K”, five “Kalibr” and all three “Iskander-M” missiles.

Impacts from the missiles and 26 attack drones were recorded in 15 locations, with debris from intercepted projectiles falling in an additional 12 areas. The widespread distribution of debris suggests a broad geographical scope to the attack.
