Vivo is preparing to launch the T5 Pro, a recent smartphone boasting a potentially record-breaking 9,020mAh battery, according to early reports. The substantial battery capacity positions the T5 Pro as a strong contender for the longest-lasting phone in Vivo’s lineup, surpassing the 7,200mAh battery found in the existing T5x model.
The upcoming device is expected to feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, catering to users who prioritize visual quality and responsiveness, particularly gamers. The high refresh rate is becoming increasingly common in mid-range and flagship devices, enhancing the overall user experience.
In addition to the large battery, the Vivo T5 Pro will support 90W fast charging, allowing for quick power-ups. The phone will ship with OriginOS 6, Vivo’s proprietary operating system. This combination of battery size and charging speed aims to minimize downtime and maximize usability.
The T5 Pro is positioned as the successor to the Vivo T4 Pro, which currently features a 6.77-inch display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, a dual-rear camera setup, and a 6,500mAh battery. The upgrade to a 9,020mAh battery represents a significant leap in power capacity.
Tipster Yogesh Brar shared the preliminary specifications, noting that the device is “coming soon to India.” While the chipset remains unconfirmed, further details are expected to be released shortly. The increased battery capacity suggests Vivo is responding to consumer demand for longer-lasting mobile devices.
