Lithuanian Singer Vytautas Šiškauskas Warns Fans of Impersonation Scam
Beloved Lithuanian singer Vytautas Šiškauskas, 69, has alerted his fans to a surge of fake online profiles being created in his name. The artist took to Facebook on February 9, 2026, to issue a warning about the fraudulent accounts, which are reportedly being used to solicit money and offer fake concert tickets.
“DEAR FRIENDS, ATTENTION – BE CAREFUL! I hear and you yourselves write to me, that from many fake accounts created with my name and my photos, people are writing and asking for money, offering concert tickets and so on,” Šiškauskas wrote in a social media post. The singer’s message reflects a growing trend of celebrity impersonation online, often targeting devoted fans.
Šiškauskas emphasized that he is not offering any “golden cards,” seeking friendships, requesting funds, or inviting people to events. “I am writing and publishing this because there are already people who have been harmed,” he stated. He also shared images of the fraudulent accounts to help fans identify them.
“PAY ATTENTION TO THE FAKE ACCOUNTS CREATED BY SCAMMERS PRETENDING TO BE ME – THERE ARE COUNTLESS!!! I definitely do not offer any golden cards, I am not looking for any friendships, I do not ask for anything and I do not invite anyone anywhere,” Šiškauskas continued.
Numerous fans responded to Šiškauskas’s post, confirming they had also received suspicious messages from the fake accounts. One commenter noted the high volume of impersonators, stating, “Very active imposters. Already about seven ‘Šiškauskas’ have sent friend requests, all of whom have to be blocked. Thank you for constantly publishing this, as some people believe them.” Another user pointed out similar activity on Instagram.
Šiškauskas also confirmed that the scam extends to TikTok, stating he is not contacting fans or sending friend requests on that platform either.
