Heavy snowfall is causing cancellations and delays at the Olympic Winter Games in Italy!

The women’s slopestyle snowboarding final, originally scheduled for 13:00 local time on Tuesday, has been canceled due to unworkable conditions on the course. This means German athlete Annika Morgan, 24, will have to wait for her next opportunity to compete. The women’s aerials qualification round, featuring Emma Weiß, 26, initially set for 10:45, has been postponed three times and is now slated to begin at 13:45. The men’s aerials qualification, planned for 13:30, has been canceled outright.

Livigno, situated at an elevation of 1800 meters, received over 25 centimeters of fresh snow overnight leading into Monday. Snow continues to fall as of Tuesday morning, with an additional 15 centimeters expected in the coming hours. The primary issue is reduced visibility for the athletes due to the heavy snowfall.
