The exercises, developed by trainer Marina Colombo, a graduate in Motor Sciences and an expert in female training, are part of her PM FIT method – a comprehensive project dedicated to women’s wellness. This method includes training programs personally created and tested by Colombo to verify their effectiveness.
These total-body exercises target various areas of the body and are designed to be both effective and specific. Colombo emphasizes the development of muscular strength as a cornerstone of muscle health, while as well focusing on balance and core strength – the central area of the body crucial for stability and proper posture.
The exercises can be performed at any time of day, Colombo suggests, advising individuals to “simply set aside 15 minutes and clear your mind.” While beneficial on their own, Colombo recommends incorporating these exercises into a broader fitness routine, rather than repeating the mini-workout multiple times per week.
Each exercise involves three sets of 10 repetitions with 60 seconds of rest between sets. One example, the “Sit Thrust,” can be done with or without weights. The exercise begins in a quadruped position with knees raised, rotating towards the left, extending the right foot while maintaining core engagement.
