Dharamshala – South Africa’s batting lineup felt the heat of the Indian bowlers in the frigid conditions of Himachal Pradesh. Losing the toss and batting first, South Africa crumbled to 117 all out, setting India a target of 118 in the third T20. Captain Aiden Markram was the lone bright spot for the Proteas, scoring a half-century. He smashed 61 runs off 46 balls, including two sixes and six fours.

India’s bowlers made a strong start, claiming three wickets for just seven runs in 3.1 overs. Reeza Hendricks (0), Quinton de Kock (1), and Dewald Brevis (2) were all dismissed quickly. Harshit Rana removed de Kock and Brevis, while Arshdeep Singh took the wicket of Hendricks.

Varun Chakravarthy and Shivam Dube then tore through the middle order as South Africa collapsed. Tristan Stubbs (9), Corbin Bosch (4), and Marco Jansen (2) all failed to reach double figures. With this performance in Dharamshala, Hardik Pandya reached 100 wickets in international T20s and Varun Chakravarthy claimed his 50th wicket.

Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakravarthy, and Kuldeep Yadav each took two wickets for India. Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav also claimed one wicket apiece.

There were two changes to the Indian playing XI, with Harshit Rana and Kuldeep Yadav coming in to replace Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel. For South Africa, Corbin Bosch, Andrich Nortje, and Tristan Stubbs returned to the side. Sanju Samson remained on the bench for the Indian team.
