Sony has announced that Ghost of Yotei will feature a multiplayer mode titled Legends, launching on March 10th.
The announcement came during the State of Play event, according to reports. Similar to its predecessor, Ghost of Tsushima, Legends will allow players to team up online with up to three others.
Players can choose from one of four character classes – samurai, archer, mercenary, and shinobi – each offering unique strengths in different combat scenarios.

All four classes can wield katana swords and bows, and also possess unique weapons and abilities. The samurai, for example, can utilize the large odachi sword, effective for sweeping attacks against groups of enemies.
Players will demand to cooperate, leveraging each class’s abilities to defeat demonic versions of the Yotei Six enemy group.
The Legends mode will arrive alongside game update version 1.5 and will be available free to all owners of Ghost of Yotei. At launch, players will be able to enjoy three mission types.

Survival mode challenges players to withstand increasingly difficult waves of enemies.
Story mode, meanwhile, requires two players to complete 12 missions to unlock Incursion mode, which tasks players with raiding the fortress of one of the Yotei Six members.
Initially, four fortresses will be available to conquer. Sony stated that a further update in April will add a final boss battle within the expansion. This addition to Ghost of Yotei demonstrates the continued evolution of the game and Sony’s commitment to expanding its popular franchises.
