Jakarta — Despite an overall net foreign sell of IDR 210 billion (approximately USD $13.1 million) across the Indonesian stock market on Thursday, March 5, 2026, several key stocks experienced significant foreign inflows.

Data indicates that the buying activity was concentrated in large-cap banking, energy and commodity-related companies. This selective demand suggests a nuanced approach from international investors despite broader market headwinds.

Bank Central Asia (BBCA) led the way with net foreign buying totaling approximately IDR 148.2 billion (USD $9.2 million). Astra International (ASII) followed closely behind, attracting IDR 90.8 billion (USD $5.6 million) in foreign investment from a total transaction value of IDR 339.4 billion.

Indo Tambangraya Megah (ITMG) secured the third-largest inflow, with net foreign purchases reaching IDR 81.6 billion (USD $5.1 million).

Total transaction value for the day reached IDR 17.43 trillion (approximately USD $1.08 billion), a decrease from the previous day’s IDR 29.59 trillion.
