Van de Veire shared that she has “no contact” with her father and his inner circle, explaining, “There has been a lot that happened over the past year/years, a lot of hurt, and I have drawn a boundary.” She revealed this information because she had been receiving messages about her father following his appearances in the media and on television.

In my anger, I then broke off all contact,” she stated. She emphasized that the separation is primarily for her own well-being, though she hopes it may also bring peace to both parties.
While acknowledging the current distance, Van de Veire clarified that this isn’t necessarily a permanent break. “It’s not because we happen to share genes that that parental role comes to you forever,” she said.
