Water Outages Scheduled for Bari and Brindisi as AQP Conducts Critical Infrastructure Repairs
Residents across several regions of Puglia are facing scheduled water service interruptions this week as Acquedotto Pugliese (AQP) carries out essential maintenance and emergency repairs to the regional network.

In Bari, the neighborhoods of Japigia and Sant’Anna will experience a complete suspension of water service on April 16. According to reports, the outage is expected to last up to 12 hours as crews operate to address underground leaks. The repair of these leaks is necessary to restore the integrity of the local water supply.
Similar disruptions are affecting Brindisi, where an 8-hour outage in the town center has been implemented. These works to improve the service are intended to enhance the overall reliability of the water distribution system for local citizens.
These localized interruptions are part of a wider series of scheduled outages across Puglia and Salento, with some areas reporting service suspensions of up to 12 hours.
The coordinated efforts to repair leaks and upgrade infrastructure underscore the ongoing challenges of maintaining water security and network efficiency in the region.
