Teen Stabbing in Blerick: Parents Arrested After 14-Year-Old Nour’s Fatal Attack — Community in Mourning

Blerick is in shock after 14-year-old Nour was fatally stabbed in her home on Elzenstraat on Monday morning, April 20, 2026. Emergency services responded around 6:30 a.m. And found the teenager seriously injured. Despite efforts by medical personnel and a trauma helicopter, she died from her wounds.

Shortly afterward, police arrested two individuals at the scene, including Nour’s father and his partner. The father, who works as a barber at a well-known salon in a nearby shopping center, was described by a colleague as having seemed normal during their shift together the afternoon before the incident.

Nour attended Blariacum College, where school officials confirmed she was well-liked and deeply missed. Classes were interrupted following the news, and a memorial space has been set up for students and staff to grieve.

Friends and neighbors remember her as a cheerful and caring girl who often acted as a peacemaker in the community and was always ready with a hug. She was known to visit her father’s salon after school regularly.

According to a family friend, the father also has a partner in Morocco. Nour’s background was frequently noted in local coverage, with reports identifying her as Moroccan-Dutch.

The case has drawn widespread attention across Dutch media, with multiple outlets reporting on the community’s grief, the arrest of the parents, and Nour’s reputation as a kind and vibrant teenager.
