Middle Brother’s outfielder Song Sheng-rui was struck by a pitch to the left side of his abdomen in the fifth inning during the game against the Fubon Guardians on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Despite the impact, Song remained in the game, reaching first base and continuing to play right field in the top of the sixth inning.

However, when the Brothers brought in left-handed reliever Qian Kelun in the middle of the sixth, Song was replaced in the outfield by Xu Tinglun.

After the game, the Middle Brothers organization confirmed that Song suffered a swollen left abdominal muscle from the hit but was cleared by the team’s medical staff as having no serious injury.

He has since been removed from play and is receiving ice treatment and rest.
