The woman, who asked not to be named, recalled a harrowing night nearly two decades ago when she and Gaigalaitė rushed to save a man trapped inside a house after Gaigalaitė lost control of her car and crashed into the building. According to the friend’s account, the crash happened after Gaigalaitė, then a teenager, had argued with her boyfriend.
