A three-car collision involving a wrong-way driver occurred in northeast Las Vegas this morning, resulting in minor injuries to all involved and the arrest of one driver.

The incident took place around 4:33 a.m. on Lake Mead Boulevard near Marion Drive, just west of Nellis Boulevard. Witnesses reported a white Mini Cooper traveling in the wrong direction on Lake Mead when it struck two other vehicles, causing one to roll over. Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene to provide aid.

Authorities confirmed that everyone involved sustained only minor injuries; one person from the vehicle that overturned was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Traffic disruptions are common in Las Vegas, a city that sees over 40 million visitors annually, making roadway safety a continuous concern. The driver of the Mini Cooper was taken into custody.

Lake Mead Boulevard was temporarily closed in both directions as police investigated and cleared the scene. Check our traffic section for updates on road closures. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the driver operating the vehicle against the flow of traffic.

Officials stated that further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
