Dutch discount retailer Action is continuing its expansion across France, with several new, larger stores planned for key cities. The company’s growth strategy is driving job creation and revitalizing commercial centers as it seeks to capture a larger share of the French market.

Marseille to Host Action XXL Store

Action is preparing to open a substantial 1,300 square meter store in Marseille’s Centre Bourse shopping mall. The opening, slated for late March, follows several months of renovation work combining multiple former retail spaces. The expansion is intended to boost foot traffic and invigorate the shopping center.

The new location will feature the full range of Action products, including home goods, creative leisure items, stationery and DIY supplies. With a broad selection and competitive pricing, the store is expected to become a popular destination for shoppers in the region.

Expansion in the Paris Region

Action is as well expanding its presence in the Île-de-France region, with a new store planned for Puteaux, located within the Westfield Cnit shopping center. The 1,500 square meter store will occupy the space previously held by Habitat.

The company will continue to offer its signature combination of varied products at low prices. While an official opening date has not yet been announced, the new store will cater to consumers seeking affordable options and new products.

First Action Store Opens in Normandy

In Villers-Bocage, Calvados, Action recently inaugurated its first store in the Normandy region. The 928 square meter location, open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM, has created 14 local jobs.

The retailer is focusing on accessibility, attractive pricing, and a diverse product range, even in smaller towns. These new openings demonstrate Action’s commitment to reaching more consumers and adapting to local market needs.
