The child is the first for Agnete Saba and her fiancé, Johannes Foslund.

Saba, known for her appearances in Melodi Grand Prix and as a BlimE artist, confirmed her pregnancy earlier this summer.

– I’m really looking forward to becoming a mom, she told Finnmark.

On Instagram, where she has over 36,000 followers, Saba shared a photo of the newborn peacefully sleeping while wearing a knitted hat.

A Sami Triumph

In recent years, Saba has also worked as a BlimE artist for NRK Super, contributing to the network’s annual friendship campaign aimed at children and young people.

Saba was the vocalist for the band “The BlackSheeps,” which won both the Norwegian and Nordic finals of Melodi Grand Prix Junior 2008 with the North Sami-Norwegian song “Oro jaska beana.” Three years later, they reached the final of Melodi Grand Prix, ultimately finishing in second place.

In 2014, Saba won “Skal vi danse” (Shall We Dance), partnered with Egor Filipenko. Eight years later, she returned to the dance floor with Jørgen Nilsen.

– I lost the Sami language. I put it aside. So I had to work on myself to find the strength again and be proud of who I am, Saba said during “Skal vi danse: All Stars” in 2022.
