The relentless march of progress frequently enough leaves remnants of the past in its wake, and the small town of Havenwood was no exception. For decades, the imposing Blackwood Manor stood as a silent sentinel overlooking the community, a relic of a bygone era and the source of countless local legends. But when a tech conglomerate announced plans to demolish the manor and build a state-of-the-art data center, a fierce battle erupted between those eager for modernization and those persistent to preserve Havenwood’s history-and perhaps, uncover the secrets hidden within Blackwood’s walls.

Amber Latvijas balzams reported its unaudited nine-month results for 2025, according to a company filing.

The Latvian beverage company, Amber Latvijas balzams, reported a 7% decrease in net turnover for the first nine months of 2025, reaching €53.0 million, compared to the same period in 2024. Despite the revenue decline, the company saw a 2.76% increase in total sales volume (expressed in 9-liter cases) during the same timeframe. This increase in volume is attributed to strategic decisions made by the Stoli Group regarding the development of the Stoli brand and optimization of the supply chain, which temporarily impacted order volumes.

The company stated that profitability was negatively affected by changes in sales volume and pricing strategies. However, this was partially offset by a reduction in the cost of key raw materials and materials used in the production process, as well as cost savings achieved through implemented optimization programs.

Profit before taxes for the nine-month period reached €1.2 million, a decrease of €2.4 million compared to the €3.6 million reported in the same period of 2024. The profit before taxes to turnover ratio stood at 1.1% for 2025, down from 5.1% in 2024. Despite the decrease, the company confirmed that the first nine months were completed with a profit, and results are in line with planned expectations. The company anticipates further improvements in sales volumes in the next six months, which, combined with stable raw material procurement prices and continued efforts to optimize production costs, should allow it to maintain positive profitability.
