ASUS recently showcased a series of new laptops, with two models particularly standing out: a collaborative effort with GoPro, and an updated version of the Zenbook DUO. The latter represents a significant evolution of the dual-screen concept, with improvements across several key areas.
First, the ProArt GoPro Edition (PX13) is designed for creators who frequently work on the go and utilize the GoPro ecosystem. The laptop adopts GoPro’s signature aesthetic with a Black Metal finish and includes a dedicated carrying case. It also features a GoPro Hotkey for quick access to the GoPro Player application. The packaging itself includes pre-cut foam that can be repurposed as a storage container for cameras, and accessories.
The ProArt GoPro Edition is a 13-inch convertible laptop with a 360-degree hinge and a weight of 1.39 kg, making it highly portable. It also meets MIL-STD-810H standards for durability, ensuring it can withstand shocks, vibrations, and radiation. The laptop features a 3K resolution touchscreen with an ASUS Lumina OLED panel, supporting an active stylus and factory calibration for accurate photo and video editing. A 16:10 aspect ratio expands the workspace for timeline editing and other tasks. It also includes the ASUS DialPad for precise control within Adobe applications.
The laptop comes with StoryCube, the first Windows application with integrated access to the GoPro Cloud and support for 360-degree video clips. It automatically synchronizes, sorts, and tags files using AI, streamlining the transfer process between capture and editing. After logging into a GoPro account, the application can automatically organize content and apply useful metadata for post-production. Users also receive a 12-month subscription to GoPro Premium+, offering unlimited cloud storage.
The configuration available includes an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with a 50 TOPS NPU, 128 GB of unified LPDDR5X memory, and a 1 TB SSD. This platform is geared towards tasks involving local AI processing, high-resolution editing, and multitasking in creative applications. The hardware is designed to efficiently manage resources for extended work sessions, even on the go.
The ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition (PX13) is available for order at a price of $10,999 (16,149 lei) for the HN7306EAC-LX041X configuration. Customers who register their product within 90 days are also eligible for ASUS Perfect Warranty, which covers accidental damage such as drops, spills, and screen breakage.
While the ProArt GoPro Edition is compelling, the ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 (UX8407) is particularly appealing as an everyday laptop. The dual-screen laptop format is gaining traction as a productivity tool, offering expanded workspace options for professionals. Previously tested in 2024, the Zenbook Duo UX8406 demonstrated the potential of this design.
The Zenbook DUO 2026 (UX8407) refines this concept with a more advanced dual-screen implementation. The chassis is constructed entirely from Ceraluminum, a proprietary ASUS material designed to be lightweight and scratch-resistant.
A key improvement is the reduced gap between the two screens – a 70% reduction compared to the previous generation. The new hidden hinge allows the laptop to open a full 180 degrees, lying completely flat. The rear kickstand supports using the laptop with the screens side-by-side or stacked, a feature carried over from the previous generation.
The MagLatch system magnetically secures the Bluetooth keyboard between the two OLED panels, providing both a stable connection and screen protection during transport.
The Zenbook DUO 2026 (UX8407) features two 14-inch displays, each with a 3K resolution, up to 1000 nits of brightness, and a variable refresh rate between 48 and 144 Hz. Both panels are Dolby Vision certified and include an anti-glare coating. The ScreenXpert software automatically detects when the lid is opened beyond 175 degrees and activates tools for sharing and annotation.
Audio performance is also a focus, with six speakers supporting Dolby Atmos sound, including dual-diaphragm woofers and front-facing tweeters integrated into the hinge area.
A 99 Wh battery promises excellent battery life. The laptop is powered by an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor, supported by an expanded cooling system with larger CNC-milled vents and 97-blade fans, resulting in a TDP of 45W. The platform offers up to 180 TOPS of AI performance, which is significant for local AI-powered tools.
The Zenbook DUO 2026 (UX8407) starts at $9,770 (14,149 lei) for the configuration with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, with the 2 TB storage model priced at $10,330 (14,649 lei).
