Barcelona have reclaimed the top spot in La Liga, surpassing Real Madrid. Here’s an update on the league standings through matchday 25.

Barcelona secured first place after a dominant 3-0 victory over Levante at Camp Nou on Sunday, February 22nd.

The result gives Barcelona 61 points through 25 games, moving them ahead of Real Madrid, who now sit in second place with 60 points.

Madrid suffered a setback earlier in the week, falling 2-1 to El Sadar. That loss allowed Barcelona to leapfrog them in the standings after previously holding the top position.

Villarreal currently occupies third place in the La Liga table with 51 points, having defeated Valencia 2-1.

Atletico Madrid remains in fourth with 48 points, while Real Betis is fifth with 42. Celta Vigo climbed to sixth place with 37 points after a 2-0 win against Real Mallorca, pushing Espanyol down to seventh with 35.

Athletic Bilbao moved up to eighth with 34 points, followed by Osasuna (33), and Real Sociedad dropped to tenth with 32 points in the La Liga standings.
